It all started with a single SCOBY, a couple of glass jars, lots of sweet tea, and no shortage of kitchen mishaps (aka. explosions). As we continued to tinker with our recipe month after month, we began to take homemade Kombucha to every dinner party, pouring alongside wine and champagne, enjoying during and after meals over lively conversations.
Before long, our Kombucha became an indispensable part of every friendly get-together, with drinkers and non-drinkers alike both craving for this ultra-uplifting, naturally bubbly drop that is also remarkably good for you.
The idea eventually came that we'd like to share the joy of our Kombucha with the wider community, and to create something that is truly and proudly made in Hong Kong.
"On the Wagon" was born.
Meet Ash & Alvin, two guys with a passion for homemade food, drink and the experience which goes with it. We value the finer things in life and strive for perfection and authenticity in our products.
When it comes to our Kombucha, we don't take short cuts, building our little venture together from scratch. The experience begins from the classic swing top bottle, to Alvin's own watercolor illustration & label designs, soon followed by the gratifying pop of our bottle opening to a deliciously, completely naturally sparkling Kombucha, perfect for a cheers on any occasion.
And it doesn’t stop just there. With your combined effort, we go the extra mile to re-use all of our bottles, playing our part in reducing our footprint on the environment. Let's get "On the Wagon"!
"On the wagon?"
The expression, "On the Wagon", comes from an age-old saying whereby the coachmen of the horse-drawn water wagons had to stay off alcohol while on the job.
Now, we aren’t saying you can’t "fall off the wagon" from time to time, but we are confident that we can satisfy many of your cravings with any of our Kombucha blends!
